My husband and I are looking to find land and purchase a manufactured home in NJ. I am finding this to be extremely difficult, as i really don't know where to start. NJ doesn't really seem to have a market for manufactured housing. we'd want to put the home on a permanent foundation ... what does it take to prepare the land for this. and which dealers service NJ? please help

Doug

I don't know about Local Dealers, as I don't have your zip code, but if you check www.fairmonthomes.com they have a dealer locator on the site. I am an exclusive Fairmont Dealer in Missouri, and am very pleased with the quality and service of this Factory... Check the website, and see for your self. If you need any help with the financing, or have any other questions, feel free to write. Thanks, Doug

nicky,

Check you the New Jersey Manufactured Housing Association or with the New Jersey State Administrative Agency. If they are not in the yellow pages look on the internet. The Association should be able to assist you.

New Jersey has some strick rules you will need to follow......

Good Luck.

Also, buy from a local manufacturer, PA has many good ones and sell close to you.
