Floor Insulation

Post by Bruce West » Thu Aug 16, 2012 6:56 pm

I have just bought a Century double wide home probably manufactured in 1980 by Bendix. I would like to know how the insulation is held up between the joists. thanks?

The insulation between the floor joist is probably rolled fiberglass that rests between the joist on the bottom board (vapor barrier).

The insulation between the ceiling joist-truss system sits on another vapor barrier that rests on the ceiling boards. It could be rolled fiberglass or blown insulation.
