Permanent Foundation
Permanent Foundation
Question.. Just bought a 2000 Four Seasons Autumn Manor MH sitting on acreage. It is not affixed via permanent foundation. How can that be done? What exactly do they mean permanent foundation. Thank you

Re: Permanent Foundation
A permanent foundation is defined differently by different states. The main benefit today is ease of financing or refinancing. If your home is already installed there is may not much to be gained from taking it apart and installing it on a different foundation system.

Re: Permanent Foundation
What appears to have been done is that they have used OBS as skirting? which I know has to be replaced...So if I am going to that extent may as well go further? Does this help retain value?

Re: Permanent Foundation
Any wood product used as skirting has the potential to attract termites and is not recommended. Skirting will not offer any structural support. But can increase the value of your home.
System-1 is what skirting should be- 100% solid concrete. System-1 is not an imitation or a look alike – it is the original concrete skirting system that resists the elements from the summer heat of Texas to the harsh winters of Minnesota. System-1 is built to last and is designed to stay put for years of dependable service. Stop chasing your skirting down the street and look at just some of the benefits System-1 provides you.

I have a 1988 mobile home and i'm trying to sell it, I cannot do this until it has an 8 pt. foundation( tied downs and anchors) Can you tell me what this is and what I will need to do to get this done for FHA approval?
