crossover/uneven cooling
crossover/uneven cooling
hi we just put a new crossover duct on our house. the right side of the house is blowing out air good. hardly no air on the left side. i am wondering if there is a flap in the crossover duct that would prevent the air circulation. or what would cause the left side not to get the air. is there a certian way we must put the crossover duct up. its a flex duct.

The may be a "flap" under your furnace, designed to prevent hot air from flowing back to the air unit. If you have a furnace and if this damper is closed you might get the results your reporting.
If all was right prior to changing out the flex I would:
Check the new flex line for holes... it is quiet possible to puncture the flex while it is being installed, which could result in cool air escaping the under of the home, not making it to where you want it.
Check the connection points for the flex to be sure there are tight connections and no escaping cool air.
Check the flex for possible obstructions inside.
