New buyer's legal recourse for defects in previously owned MH.

I have recently purchased a 1992 Oak Creek MH. The house passed a professional inspection, and the previouls owned failed to state (or didn't know) that water leaks from the bathroom vent when it rains. Do I have any legal recourse, and if so to whom do I speak with about this?

Home inspectors are supposed to check out the roof. Was it inspected before or after the move ?

Much of your case with the previous owner would rest on the wording of your purchase agreement. Is there any expressed or implied guarantee for the roof system? Is there a statement that you are buying the home "where is as is" ??

Read your purchase contract and the inspectors disclaimers and let us know what they say.

If you moved the home, in most cases, all bets are off. Each time a home is relocated the roof vents should be resealed.
