Serial Number
Re: Serial Number
I have a trailer on some property I bought. There is no paper work on the trailer. To get insurance on it I need to know the make or date built. I found a tag on the frame that reads,,RPI Corp serial no. 5 20968

Re: Serial Number
Depending on the age of the home you might look in the toilet tanks. If they are original you might be able to get an idea. If there are the colored toilets like harvest gold, almond green, pink, or blue they might be original. If they are white they may have been replaced. You might also look for a date on the furnace. These dates will be the date of manufacture of the particular units not the home. But it might put you in the ball park.

Re: vin #
I am trying to sell my property but I cannot sell it if I cannot get a vin# for the mobile home, of which I do not have. I have not looked for it around the tongue or on the frame as yet but what I do have is a HUD # and the mfg. serial # and model unit designation #. The MH was built in 1985. Again, I need a vin # in order to get a duplicate Title. I also have a tag on the end of the MH with an Arkansas MH # 103639. I do not know where to go from here. What does this ark. MH # mean? Is there somewhere here in MT View, Ar. to find the vin # if I do not locate one on the MH? Thank you
Re: vin #
The tax sticker is most likely from you local tax department. Most often they would have the particulars of the home for tax purposes. Most states title offices can look up title information by name as well as number. Your insurance policy always has the vin number on it. The vin will also be on the Data Plate inside the home on a wall. It should not be hard to find.
