I have filled out the form twice at http://mfdhousing.com/loanfinder.php. However, I have yet to hear from anybody. Is this site still in operation???

The LoanFinder service is alive and well. When you submit your info it is picked up by lenders across the country. They pre-qualify applicants by the info the you submit.

It is possible that there are no programs for exactly what you would like to do at the moment. The country and the world are in a credit crunch at this time and even prospects with perfect credit are finding it difficult to get the right loan.
