I have a home in Florida and am not sure if I have a VIN/Serial number or HUD Cert number. Here is what I have;
1982 CATA HS
90TRIM-538BD
1893 A/B
21091815/16
RO25177/78
Any help is appreciated. Really looking for HUD and Serial numbers.
Thank you.

Re: Various Numbers -Which One is Which?
The long number (90TRIM-538BD 1893 A/B) that ends with a/b is most probably the serial number. Each half of your double wide has the same serial number except that one half ends in A and the other in B
1982 CATA indicates the year and make. The Florida DMV designation HS indicates HOUSE STYLE (mobile home)
Look on side of the home that would have been the rear as it went down the road. That is where you will find the HUD certification red labels.

Thank you very much.
I have been racking my brain for days on this issue.
The HUD Certification Labels have been covered by new siding and the data plate disappeared when new kitchen cabinets were installed.
I am going to try IBTS.

Ibits will help with this home that was built by Catalina Homes in Douglas, GA.
With the serial number they should be able to supply the HUD number and/or a HUD letter that might be required by a lender or building official..

I am just buying a modular house and I have no Idea where the serial number for the house is. Can you tell me where you found all those numbers you got? Because I went up there and all I found was the hud number. If it helps we know it is a 2003 libery legacy manufactured house. If you can reply to this soon that would be greatly appreiatied
Re: Various Numbers -Which One is Which?
I got the numbers from various sources. First the owner provided the existing title number (21091815/16) which gave me the serial number (1892 a/b). The other numbers came from the county property assesors office. Rmurray, a member of this site, helped by providing me with the manufacturer information.
By providing IBTS with the serial number and the manufacturer information I received the HUD Verification letter and numbers.

A modular home will have the serial number and certification seal in the electric box..Most often the serial number will also be in other locations on the home..
A manufactured home usually has a title and always has a frame..You can find the serial number on both..Often local tax authorities have good records as well..
Good Luck
