Been online for 2 days looking for a single bowl, affordable sink. I'm going to have countertops installed that are 24" deep with an integrated backsplash. My sink is the same as everyone's: 19x33 double bowl, AND the bowls slope down to the middle, so I'm always breaking glasses and things are rolling about. Does anyone know of any single bowls out there? I found an Elkay that's 19.5, but there are no holes for faucets and it's over $500. Will the installers have to drill my new counter for fixtures? Am I being overly dense about this?
Don't the designers of these homes have pans to wash? Is is too much to ask for a flat bottom single sink? Please end my misery. This is just ridiculous.
Single Bowl Kitchen Sink
Re: Single Bowl Kitchen Sink
I did a quick search for single bowl kitchen sinks at Home Depot..They only have 1185 different styles with prices from $110 to over $1000 (must be gold plated). You should be able to find one here

> Thanks rmurray -- the problem is my contractor says I can't put in anything deeper back to front than 20" and that's a squeeze. A standard 22" sink just will not fit. And I should have said it can't be an undermount sink. Those, of course, come in every size in the rainbow. You can't use them with a laminate countertop (course not, then you have to put out for the solid surface -- what a racket!) The cabinets are 24" from the wall to the front and leave 22" (back to front) for the sink. It's the cabinet size that actually the problem. I've searched the world (literally). It's not a mansion -- I shouldn't have to have one custom made. You'd think these home stores would cater a little more toward the modular and mobile home market. Anyway, I babble. Thanks for your help and time.

Re: Single Bowl Kitchen Sink
The parts store here has 9 sinks 33x19..Unfortunately all are double bowl but the 10" deep model is intersting...This one is probably 4" deeper than your current SS...Maybe your pots will work better..especially with the tall faucet they offer for $22.95...Between the 2 you can do this nicely for less than $150.00

Re: Single Bowl Kitchen Sink
Thanks. I'll check 'em out, but I guess I'll stick with what I have -- no sense spending money on something I already have (PAY ATTENTION YOU STUPID DEALERS -- NO MONEY TO YOU). Sorry.... If you ever do hear of a single bowl sink, I'd like to know about it.
