Ceiling Light

Post by flutemindy » Fri Dec 28, 2007 7:13 pm

Wanting to install a ceiling light over my dining room table. No electric there, so my electrician has suggested a swag light. Will the ceiling in my manfuctured Dutch Housing home support a 5-10 chandelier with one of those hooks that you can screw into the ceiling?

You just need to screw into the bottom of the truss (rafter)... the ceiling board itself will not support the weight
