Price negotiation with home dealer

Guess I would rather feel dumb now, before the sale, than after, so here is my question: How can we be sure we are getting the quality construction,energy efficiency, and upgraded options we order thru the dealer, when not all of them are visual?
My worry is that if we get them to come down on their pricing, they will somehow find a way to make up the difference...

Good question....Ask to see his order confirmation with our serial number on it and review every line...All options, colors and features will be listed...I never did a custom order without a full review of the final confirmation...This is an important step of any custom order...Catches most errors and miss- understandings....

This should even cover things you would think are standard but are actually optons (such as washer plumb with some facrtories)...All stds will be listed.
