Mobile Home Foundations
Mobile Home Foundations
I have a 58'X 28' Fleetwood mobile home set on a 4" concrete pad with 8 X 8 X 16 cinder blocks at the manufacturers suggested positions with treated 1" hardwood blocks and shims to level the unit. I have a problem steming from a nearby stone quarry that blasts on occasion and causes the cinder blocks to vibrate and is cracking destroying them. How can I prevent the movement from destroying the blocking? And what do the people in earthquake prone areas do ? I am sure that their situation can be much worse . Don B
Re: Mobile Home Foundations
Take a look at the latest trends in California, where earthquakes are a factor and the foundation is more critical than anyplace in the country. The current trend is towards the products of FOUNDATION WORKS. Foundation Works meet or exceed industry standards, and have been proven safer under adverse conditions. Many cities in Oregon and Washington are being upgraded to Seismic Zone 3 & 4, and will be requiring earthquake resistant bracing in the near future. Thoroughly safety tested and certified by the State of California for use in Seismic Zone 4, the Foundation Works Systems exceed strength requirements by a factor of 2!
