Looking at Nashua manufactured home

Post by bubbles » Sun Feb 04, 2007 9:03 pm

I need to know if Nashua homes are better than Kit homes. Also, can anyone tell me if they are good quality homes? How do I get the best deal? Is there any haggling done like in car buying?

Thanks for your help

I'm not familiar with either of these brands as they are not available in our area. But there is a great resource that can help you. The Grissim Ratings Guide to Manufactured Homes Provides at-a-glance listings with key information home shoppers need to make an informed decision. This is the essential buyer’s resource, listing every builder in the U.S., their histories, products, price ranges, construction ratings, need-to-know information and much more. This guide will serve you well as a reference for up-to-date information on the companies and the products they build. Plus it includes an annotated construction rating chart with 56 criteria you can use to evaluate any home — before you buy. The Ratings Guide includes evaluations for All 79 U.S. builders including:

Company background/history

States where sold

Retail price range before tax (price includes transportation & set-up)

Construction rating on a 1-to-10 scale (with 10 being the highest quality)

What distinguishes brand from its competition

Availability of in-house financing and in-house insurance

Warranty structure and length ... AND MUCH MORE

John Grissim's other MH Book, The Grissim Buyer's Guide To Manufactured Homes and Land &#160 has taught thousands of MH Shoppers just how the manufactured home industry operates. It will show you how to find a dealer worthy of your trust, and negotiate a fair price.

The Manufactured Housing Book Store is running a Special 2 Book Offer You can now capture both Grissim Guides at once and Save $15.90!

What most people don't understand about insurance is that when you're getting a quote you're not getting an estimate, you're applying for a policy. An agent and insurance company must have all the information in order to quote a policy. Rates can vary widely based on the type and value of the object being insured and where it's located, additionally past losses and credit history normally play a factor.
