Be assured his main purpose is to sell homes at a profit....All of us in the business intend to make a living to help support our families...Of course quality experienced owners know they must offer value and service to continue selling homes and making profit..It is to the dealers benefit to treat you fairly and honestly...what possibly could he gain by screwing you out of a few dollars..Remember home dealers are mu ti million dollar businesses...You should check out the dealer to the best of your ability...ask him for references,, check with your local BBB and your states consumer affairs offices....plus try a thorough INTERNET search for info that has been published...Try searching your states corporate and licensing records..Ask others what they might know...

Your best defense against crooks is knowledge...Starting here is a good start...go to the bookstore here and invest in some of the very good buying guides offered here....The investment is minor but the benefit can save you thousands..Informed folks almost always get treated well..most of all they will spot a lie..then cross that dealer off the list of possible places to buy..

you're right about Pine Grove - gorgeous! I almost bought one in Wilmington NC, but I felt that the sellers wanted too much. It was an 18 year old, 1200 sq ft home that they paid $48K for one year ago, did some cosmetic stuff and were asking $98K.
