Post by godspeed » Thu Jan 04, 2007 5:51 pm

My wife and i live in Maine and were looking at a Fleetwood home the Edgewood series 28x76 4 bedroom with 2 living rooms and a awesome fireplace. up here in Maine in my neck of the woods your choices are Fleetwood,Titan,Redman,Champion, and Pinegrove. From what ive seen there all about the same walking into them but online ive read more horror stories on Fleetwood .is there anybody out there thats had any good luck with Fleetwood or should i take the floor plan that weve chosen and have one of these other builders do it. id really appreciate some input. im stressing myself out looking at all the pamplets to see who does what for options. ty very much and godspeed

Fleetwood probably is a good value in your area....Fleetwood has been the largest bilder in the industry for many of the past years..this only means they have had more problem customer than most..only becdause they have sold more homes than most...Visit the bookstore here and consider one of John Grissom's books...

If you can afford it, buy the Pinegrove. Things lke the 40# roof load and energystar construction will be worth a lot to you in Maine. Pinegrove is a muvh stronger, better built house.

I'm looking at Silvercrest that is built in Woodland, Ca. Would appreciate any advise. Also I've ordered John's books so that I'm more informed. Thanks, Ryane
