Re: sweating windows
Your owners manual will have a section on moisture control...There are many steps to help keep moisture under control...Some are to run vent fans in baths and showers when running the shower....Use the vent over to stove to remove cooking moisture..Be sure your dryer is vented outside of the skirting of the home...Be sure your skirting have plenty of ventilation per your manual...You may have to invest in a dehumidifier...

Re: sweating windows
Is there a ground vapor barrier on the ground under your home?
Are there holes in the bottom board of your home?
many homes have a whole house ventilation feature, see if yours does, check with the manufacturer, Run that and your problem will go away!
Remember, window condensation is a symptom of high moisture, eleminate the moisture is your answer!

Re: sweating windows
Thanks for your answer. This home is about 20 years old and we purchased it only recently, so there is no owner's manual. The vent fan over the range does not work and the vent fan in the untility room just outside the master bath does not work. The dryer is vented under the attached porch, which may or may not have underpenning between it and the underneath side of the home.
As you can see, we have a number of problems to solve before we can really tackle what exactly the problem is. The home is basically sound, but the previous owner's idea of repairing was duct tape and/or caulk. That gives you an idea of what type of small repairs we are doing, and the small ones add up.
Thanks again for you help, and I hope when we get it all done we will have solved the problem.

Re: sweating windows
You are right..you have many small projects to complete to help solve the sweating windows....The vent fans have a very important function and should be replaced....Make sure the dryer vent clearly vent out from under the home and deck....Moisture can cause huge mold problems which some folks cannot tolerate...Vent fans can be ordered online from the parts store on this web site...

Re: sweating windows
You could have a blocked or pinched fresh air intake.
On the roof of your home, about 3' from the furnace flue pipe, there is likely another metal roof cap. there are three screws holding the top of this cap on. get a flash light and mirror and see if the flex pipe is pinched.
this is the pipe that brings fresh air to mix with the conditioned air.
