Mobile Home Financing

Post by Chris » Wed Jan 11, 2006 10:47 am

I am trying to find a company that will finance a doublewide on 5 acres in Texas. I don't want to put anything down and have fair to poor credit. Also want to finance for more than 5 years. Is there such a company out there?

Thanks

I just refi'd mine through Mountainside Financial. http://www.mountainsidefinancial.com/. I have been working with a gentleman by the name of Chris. If they can't help you let me know. I have one more suggestion.

I looked at their website, and they are strictly refi., they also do not do land/home pkgs. I am looking for a new home loan, and land/home package.

Re: Loan to purchase land for home

We have a 2001 Skyline Woodmanor 4 bedroom 2 baths 2,00 sq.ft. home in a park located in Indiana. We want to purchase 2 acres of land and move this home 80 miles south of where we are now. I can not find anyone who will lend the money to purchase the land and move the home because we are not buying it new. I have been on all the manufactured home loan web sites. Will I have to get a personal loan to do this and then apply for the FHA loan? That makes me real nervous. I have heard horror stories about FHA loans. Please can anyone help direct me in the right direction. Thanks

An FHA loan for a manufactured home land package is a great way to buy a new home...There are no nightmares to worry about...BUT...FHA will NOT be for you..FHA does NOT finance any home that has been moved from its original delivery location...As soon as you move yours, the home will no longer qualify..
