We have a glass-enclosed stall shower and have noticed that with the door closed, it does not fit tightly against the frame, so water is leaking out onto the rug during a shower.
The home is not totally level, of course, but tolerable (two doors won't stay open). We paid to have it leveled last year, but they couldn't do more than they did because the skirting would not have fit correctly. (That's what they said, anyway.). Another re-leveling does not seem feasible at this point.
The shower door has a big gap where it doesn't meet, from 1/8 inch on the handle side to about 1/2 inch on the hinge side.
Can anything be done to the bottom of this door (caulking? foam?) to make it meet and stop the leak? Or does a whole new door need to be installed?
(If it isn't one thing, it's another....)

Re: bottom of glass shower door leaks
You may find a way to adjust the height of the door - take a look at the hinges.
If not, go to any hardware store and buy some weatherstripping or cove molding, and some silicone glue/sealer - and maybe some clothespins or small clamps.
Mount the weatherstripping on the door to seal it. You may have to play with that a bit to get it just right, but that ought to take care of the problem.
By the way, it's not good to have carpet in a bathroom or other moist area. If you have it there, I'd plan on pulling it out at some point (I'd wait 'til summer) and replacing it with linoleum. You could use stick-on tile, just make sure all staples are out of the floor, and seal it with Kilz or some other sealer, to provide waterproofing.

Re: bottom of glass shower door leaks
Thank you, Mac, for the good advice. The hinge idea won't work, I'm pretty sure, but the weatherstripping and sealer sounds great.
The carpet in the bathroom covers two stairs/higher areas that one climbs to access the shower, and it was already here. (It's a huge bathroom with a gigantic tub beside the stall shower, so the stairs may sound odd but they look okay.)
We don't like it much, but one cannot have stairs with vinyl on them, I don't think. It would look strange.
The rest of the floor is vinyl and looks quite nice.
Off to the hardware store once again!

Re: bottom of glass shower door leaks
I am really confused over your statement about the leveling of your home. Yes, if you have some changes in the home's height there would be skirting issues
I was able several years ago to get used skirting from an installer who had some sitting at his business and sold it to me rather cheaply. It was cost efficient which is what I needed at the time. I called around to several places. Who know, the installer may have done leveling for someone else who had skirting issues also!
Something to think about in the future!!!!

Re: bottom of glass shower door leaks
The men who did the re-leveling said if they'd taken it any lower, the skirting on that side would have sort of buckled outwards, sort of squished is the way I understood it.
It seemed to make sense at the time, and we just don't have the money to hire a new re-leveler right now, so we are living with it.
The two doors that don't stay open are the only not-level problem we have. There are no cracks in the walls, the windows all slide properly, etc. so we don't worry about the two doors. We use door stoppers.
I suppose skirting that starts to buckle outward can be trimmed at the bottom or top to make it fit once again. I will keep this in mind if we re-level again. I guess I should say "when" we re-level again, as I'm sure it needs to be done periodically.
