Wiring Schematic
Wiring Schematic
I would like to find a wiring Schematic for a 1978 Homelitte manufactured home. I just bought this double wide and found the inspector missed outlets and lights not working in different areas of the house. All my breakers work but 2 outlets in one bedroom , 2 juntions, 1 light switch and 1 overhead light in the hallway and the front door overhead light inside the house have no power to them and they are all at opposite ends of the house in all four directions. I can't find any more electical panels and all the wires seem secure at the other outlets. I hate to start taking down the ceiling and wallboard but I need to find where the wires are running too. Any help would be appreciated.
Re: Wiring Schematic
Hi Rick,
Probably a slim chance on finding such a schematic. These days your lucky to find one on a home a couple years old.

You gotta see my repair manual!

Re: Wiring Schematic
Rick.
you are in a pickle, but I would start by looking at the junction box where the smoke detectors are installed.
It is common to use these as junctions for various circuits.

Re: Wiring Schematic
I also had trouble with outlets. My trouble was that the circuit continued on and the way they just strip and insert the wires into the outlets makes for shaky connections. My rental is a 1974 bendix. I had bad circuits that started at one end of the trailer and skipped past several outlets before being connected. I found most of them by tapping on the walls.
Re: Wiring Schematic
might want to check at the rear of the home were the to 1/2s meet under the home are the cross over connection boxs
