How to find GOOD repair companies

Post by Rosalie » Thu Oct 06, 2005 6:20 pm

I am in Lake Wales FL area & am hitting brick wall on finding certified mobile home repair firms to give my elderly father (nearly 90) bids for water damage to sub flooring on most of the west side of his large double wide.

His insurance adjustor warned explicitly that he must find a contractor who is established enough to NOT need cash up front for materials, as that would prevent payment for any overages the adjustor might need to consider down the road. The ins. company has given us a great computer print out of all the pertinent info for contractros who specialize in mobile home flooring repair to use to give estimates including detailed drawing, etc.

I have not been able to get any personal referrals from his neighbors for a job this big; and because he lives in a rural area, the big firms from Tampa don't want to come out this far.

Any suggestions? Lakeland and Winter Haven are nearest "far sized towns" in Polk County. Thx
