Cost estimate for a new roof

Buying a 1985 24 X 60 with existing composition shingle roof. Want to remove old and replace with same type shingles. How much should it cost in N. California? How much more to place foil coverd 1" slab foam beneath shingles?
Inspectors have described the roof as low pitch, but don't give actual pitch figures.

Hi Andrew,

Most likely you have a 3/12 pitched roof. Most roofers charge so much a square -- so much to remove the shingles, so much to put them back on. Here in the midwest it's about $85/square, but probably higher than that in CA.

Never heard of putting foam underneath shingles -- not saying that it's not being done.
