Hi. I own a Fleetwood 2001 Entertainer down in Florida. It came with a fireplace which has the ugliest stone mantel I have ever seen. We are in the process of taping and texturing the walls in that room, and need to get the stone mantel (One piece) off the wall so we can do that and put the flooring down.

Has anyone ever done this before? How do I get it off the wall without ruining the wall?

Fireplace designs vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. I would plan for worst case scenerio of rebuilding that wall. Who knows if the stone can be removed without ruining the wall.
