pet odors

Post by Tammy » Fri Jun 17, 2005 11:01 pm

We recently purchase a MH that the previous occupants were less than clean shall we say. They couped up the animals which left a less than pleasant odor. We have ripped out all carpet and padding and have sealed the floors with a wonderful product call BIN. (Available at Lowe's) This helped all the floors except the bathroom which has linoleum. We can't seem to get rid of the smell in this room. It has been cleaned, bleached, purple powered and everything we can think of. I am wondering if the urine could have soaked into the linoleum, or has seeped under the garden tub. (Have cleaned under as far as I can) How hard would it be to replace the support along the edge of the tub and has anyone experienced this that might have a solution? Thanks, Tammy

If it is a garden tub check to see if it has panels on it that come off to allow you to clean under it. Ours has two that are velcrowed to the tub. They can be hard to see at first so look closely. Hope this helps.

You can also try enzyme odor killers such as Nature's Miracle or others. I have an incontinent dog who soaked the carpet; this worked very well.
