resale of solitare
resale of solitare
My mother in law just passed away. she owned a 3 year old solitare double wide which is exceptional. I need to know if these homes increase or decrease in value. I assume in selling it, I should think in terms of it having to be moved (she owned the park) and just the home with no lot or land (unless they purchase the park of course) Know nothing of mobile home resale values
Re: resale of solitare
Hello Stan,
You can order a manufactured housing book value report on line at https://ssl.xpr.com/mfdhousing/mhcredit/value.php.
All reports are filed by an experienced Manufactured Housing Valuator, based on the information that you submit about your home. A Value Report will be returned to your e-mail within 3 days (excluding Sat and Sun).
This is not a full appraisal and the results should not be relied on for major decisions. but will give you an idea of what your homes is selling for at retailer locations across the country.

Best wishes,
Peter

Re: resale of solitare
In GENERAL, homes, whether site-built or manufactured, depreciate in value (except in high-end markets like parts of California, and that may change) while LAND tends to appreciate. I don't know what your plans are for the park. The cost of a basic local move and re-set on a new site - this is a wild guess - might be $2-5K.
