Help!!! I have a 1990 Redmon 14X70 mobile home. I was taking down the molding around the ceiling to paint my home and I found a large amount of black mold. How do I find out how extensive it is without taking apart my walls? How do I clean and remove this mold? My husband and I have been sick off and on for weeks and have gone to various doctors with no results. Could this be the problem and how do I fix it?? Thanks

Since it's on the ceiling, there is probably a leak in the roof. The leak could be anywhere, at water tends to run where gravity takes it. Once you find the leak and get it taken care of, you'll generally want to remove (not clean) any molded material and replace it.

Sure, mold can make you sick, affects some more than others. Your homeowners insurance MIGHT cover this, (but likely not), so check your policy first.
