condensation in walls?
condensation in walls?
I have several spots on the exterior of my single wide that show water damage. I have vinyl siding that is dripping water and leaving a tell tale sign of a problem. The home was built in 95 . What do you think has caused this?
Re: condensation in walls?
Two places water could be getting in. One is through the roof. Two is at the very top of the vinyl siding where it should be caulked.

Re: condensation in walls?
It could be more than that,
It could be coming around the windows as well.
I disagree with Mark, no caulking on the siding, crown moulding, or trim of some type!

You guys may be able to help us.
We just purchased our 1970 home. During the acoustic removal we discoverd that behind and below the toilet in the 1/2 bath the repatched plaster was not drying and actually bubbling. It's not a roofing problem (confirmed) and I believe that's it not a plumming problem. What I can't figure out is that if it's condensation issue then where and how is moisture building? Any tips.

Re: condensation in walls?
Is the wall with the bubbling plaster on an inside wall or outside wall? If an outside wall, any windows in the area? Are you sure its plaster, or just sheetrock? What do you mean by acoustic removal? Does the toilet sweat? What's below the toilet -- the belly of the home or isn't this a mobile home? Just trying to get a clearer picture. Also a description of the construction process would help.
