Hi -
Just wondering if bleached out vinyl siding can be painted ?? It is light gray, but is turning almost white. I wasn't sure if painting it is possible or even practical.
Any ideas, or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

DONT REPLACE YOUR SIDING RESTORE IT
What causes vinyl siding to fade and oxidize?
UV radiation and acid rain are the primary causes of surface deterioration. The result is siding with a dull, chalky appearance. The surface is then subject to becoming brittle. The oxidation creates a rough surface that absorbs moisture, which makes it a perfect breeding ground for the growth of mold, mildew and fungus.

Re: Vinyl Siding
Lois,
It might be in your best interest to contact the manufacturer first. Their should be a fade clause in the warranty for siding fade and color hold. The siding manufacturer will then follow up on the claim.
Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions or need further help.
