Porch ceiling

Hi, I hope you cna help me. I havea 1982 doublewide in southern california and the ceiling on my porch is peeling. I think the porch covering is made of aluminum. I was wondering if I can sand it and repaint it and if so what type of paint and/or primer should I use? Thanks!

Try cleaning the aluminum with lac. thinner and priming with some good coats of zinc chromate,sand and paint with the finish coats.
