AC airflow issues.

I have a 1997 Patriot DW home and I was wondering if anybody knows where I can get drawings or a ductwork layout of my home. one side of the house is usually warmer than the other. Now the warmer side has the sun most of the day. I have put up the expensive reflective window stuff and the expensive blinds but the airflow seems alittle lower than the other half of the home.

Now am I barking up the wrong tree and there is nothing that can be done or has anybody worked with duct boosters inline with the AC flow?

You may be able to call the manufacturer if they are still in business and they have not retired your floor plan. Some plants keep plans for a while even when no longer in production. As for the heat issue, a lot of it has to do with where the the furnace sits in the home. The farther away the air has to flow, the less you get.

Heres what I would do.

1) Check to see if you have a black bag hanging under the home that runs straight from A half of B half. If you see no bag then you probably have "in floor " ducting.
If you do have a bag, make sure it is straight---NO KINKS!. This reduces the amount of air flow. Most bags come in one length and the person installing does just that. Installs what is shipped. Get rid of any x-tra lengths of ducting not needed.

2) If you have vents located in the middle of the rooms, go to the farthest room and remove the vent and lay a flashlight down inside the run. Go to the other end and remove the register and use a mirror to inspect the duct run for any damage/blockage.Repair as needed.

3) Close down registers closest to the furnace to allow air to move farther down the line.

Most manufactures use the dollar $$ method.. If you can lay a dollar bill down on top a register and it floats up 3-4", your good.

Thank you for your advise, I am pretty sure that I have in-floor ducting for the cross-over. I have inspected this repeatedly and have not found any cross-over bag or duct of any kind. The ducts that give me a small amount of air are the farthest away from the furnace.
