refinancing manufactured homes

Post by eileen » Thu Mar 23, 2006 6:53 pm

Our daughter owns a 3 year old triple-wide manufactured home. It is beautifully located on 1.3 acres of land in Stanislaus Co, CA. Her property/home have an appraisal of $568K. ( Not bad, right?)
The problem: she wants to refinance in order to consolidate bills ( there's a brand new barn now ), and she is having a TERRIBLE time finding a lending company that deals with manufactured homes. One company that DOES, refused her a loan because there were no "comparable" units within a 5-8 mile radius of her location. DUH! She has the nicest one around!
Any ideas? Does anyone out there know of reputable lending companies that cover manufactured homes and property?

Why not get a home equity loan or HELOC? In Oregon, our loan (2002) is owned and serviced by Wells Fargo - I'd be surprised if they don't operate in California.

Hi. My name is Celeste and I am a mortgage broker and I have a couple of lenders that can finance manufactured homes. If she is interested, I will pay for the credit and the appraisal. I am in El Dorado Hills, just outside of Sacramento County.

Have her call me 916.933.5464.

If you have good credit and are having a probelm financing or refinancing your just not talking to the right lenders. There are dozens of lenders that do nothing but offer loans on manufactured homes, on private property and in parks. It is not always easy to find them. You can get FREE Mortgage Quotes from Multiple Lenders from the MH LOAN FINDER.

Hi. Do you deal with NJ? I need a company that can mortgage a manufactured home in a mobile home park. The lot is rented. And I can only buy the home from the park itself. Please help. I'm homeless since my mobile home burned down 2 weeks ago.
