were looking for a manufactured home in SC

My wife and I are moving to South Carolina in 2005, we are not sure of an exact date at this time. We are looking for a manufatured home on it's own land, or land that we can place one on. Either way, the land does not have to be cleared, just have a well, and septic system installed, and also must be large enough to build a garage, an arcre or more, would be great, and it does not need to be that close to a major town, or city. We don't have good credit, however we do have money for a significant downpayment. we would like to find a single wide with with a large Master bedroom.

A couple of things...

South Carolina is a big state...have you any idea what part of the state you would prefer????

I am located on the SC/GA border...On this side of SC land is plentiful and cheap in relation to most of the country..There are numerous developers selling land on a buy here pay here basis...

If your credit is challanged, you might have to think about a small double...the finance rules are completly different for single and double financing..with doubles much easier to get at this time..

You mentioned you want to move in 2005...By then your credit can well be cleaned up enough to qualify for the most preferred mortgage rates..These mortgages will finance the home, land and all improvements into 1 package..This way you only have 1 payment..

Planning ahead will save you thousands...Good Luck
