Get this kind of legal advice from a local real estate attorney....Take him copies of your paperwork that is filed in the courthouse..and ask for advice on how to satisfy the lien....Greentree will have everything necessary to do this legally in your state

We started out in 1995 with a 38,000 loan, at 310.00 a month Our pay off is still over 40,000. And our payment varies between 4.60 and 545.00 a month. We are buried!! Stay away from Green Tree!!!

Sorry for your plight Pam....but Greentree only charges payments that were in your originaal contract....payoffs do not go up with time if all payments are paid on time...If you do not purchase insurance whern due...lenders will force buy insurance and add it to the balance of the loan..Making the payoff higher...Eventuaslly the bank will request you pay higher payments to pay the insurance and back insurance they will require...To have that low of payment for that original amount..you must have had a 30 year note..leaving 20 years left..Even if all payments and insurance had been paid on time...The balance would still be over $30000.00 It takes a long time to lower the balance of any 30 year note..
