Cannot locate the vin #

Can someone please tell me where the vin # would be located on a Redman 2003. The model code is not on the title. I also wanted to know a way to find out when it was transported. Someone told me to use carfax and put in the vin numbers. Which I cannot find. Any info would be apprediated.

Carfax is for Cars...they track their data by title information..where is yours..The serial number IS ON the title..

A 2003 home has a data sheet somewhere inside the home...many times in a closet or on a cabinet door back in the kitchen..they look like this..

It will have the serial number...model designation..sometimes a number..sometimes a name...

It will have a date of manufacture as well....I call it the day the home was born..

There would be no record available of when the home was transported on the road from the plant to the dealer...or from the dealer to the site..

The serial number is also located on the front cross member of the frame..Stand where the hitch would have been for transport facing the home..the number will be on the left front cross member stamped into the metal..often the number is vertical in orientation..

Of course..if you have the title..you have the serial number..but all of this will not help with CarFax..

What if the data sheet has been throw away by mistake. They were on the cabinet doors and the orginial owner replace the cabinets and did not keep.
How can we get a hold of the info that is on the data sheet?

I'm having similar trouble, I bought a doublewide for my parents, but found out it was severely water damaged, maybe even flooded, it apparently has a severe mold / moisture problem and isn;t fit to live in, I want a history on the VIN, which is usually recorded by each county where a mobile home resides and is taken off of the title, (much like a car ), but I can't find any website offering histories on manufactured homes, any insight on what to do or how to do it would be much appreciated, the attorney want's $200 an hour to do this for me, and I really don't have it, hope someone out there has some info for me.

Same problem, 1980 Redman, can't find the data plate. Thanks for the suggestion about the front frame member.
