Hallmark-Southwest homes
Hallmark-Southwest homes
Does anyone out there have any experience with Hallmark-Southwest manufactured homes? My husband and I are trying to decide on a manufacturer and would like to get a home that will last as long as we will. Any comments, positive or negative, would be appreciated!
Re: Hallmark-Southwest homes
We are going out to their plant in Redlands thurs 4/8...I can give you my impression after that visit. We are told Hallmark is top of the line.
Re: Hallmark-Southwest homes
Could you give the contact information of the dealer you are seeing in Redlands. I have friends that are looking for a Dealer for Hallmark homes and I've had a hard time finding them in California.
Thanks
Thanks

Pat-
We are looking at Hallmark vs. Palm Harbor or Silvercrest.
What did you think at the factory?

they have beautiful Hallmark set up at a MH dealer in Beaumont about 30 min. from Redlands. They also seemed very nice when I talked with them about their models-not pushy. They are called Sav-on Homes and have a fairly decent web site

One nice thing about the dealership is they have their finished set homes decorated in true model home fashion. So it is really fun to look at them. So many dealers use castoff furniture or as I like to call it THE YARD SALE MODEL. It is amazing to me that they put this junk from the early seventies in these beautiful top of the line homes. I mean I would rather see it empty.

Re: Hallmark-Southwest homes
DEAR CINDY M., WE HAVE A HALLMARK SOUTHWEST HOME THAT WAS BUILT IN 1985, WE PURCHASED IT IN 1996 AND IT IS A VERY STRONG HOUSE. WE RECENTLY REROOFED BUT IT REALLY DIDN'T NEED IT, ITS JUST THAT THE HOUSE IS CLOSE TO 20 YRS OLD AND WE ARE KEEPING IT IN GOOD SHAPE.
AFTER 20 YRS, WE MAY BE CHANGING OUR WINSOWS SOON. WE RECENTLY HAD AN EARTHQUAKE AND THERE WASN'T ONE CRACK BECAUSE THE HOUSE IS ON STEEL PIERS AND THE HOUSE ROLLED INSTEAD OF CRACKING.
WE SAW THIS DIFFERENCE DURING THE NORTHRIDGE EARTHQUAKE, WE LIVED THERE FOR OVER 40 YRS. PLEASE E-MAIL FOR MORE INFO.

Re: Hallmark-Southwest homes
We own a 1984 Hallmark home and have had little to no problems with it. The manufacturer has been great even though we purchased through a private party. We purchased the home in the mid 90's and wanted to paint the outside the original color. We called the plant and they had all the information we needed on file.
Re: Hallmark-Southwest homes
Does anyone have a web site for Hallmark? I have tried all kinds of search strings and haven't located it yet! THX
Re: Hallmark-Southwest homes
I was looking into a Silvercrest but saw a Hallmark that I really liked. Do you feel Hallmark is as good of quality as silvercrest?
Thank you

Re: Hallmark-Southwest homes
We are trying to find out the line up on manufactures. I think Silvercrest is the top then Hallmark then Cavco but the dealers all say their product is the top. Is there a lineup in the market? What are the differences between Silvercrest and Hallmark as far as reliablity and durability goes. Is there any negotiations on the prices of the homes as in stickhomes?
