Title for mobile home

Several years ago a mobile home was given to a man for work he had done for the park. The man was never given a C.O or a title of any kind. He now wants to sell the home but has no title or co from the dealer,, the mobile home is a Schult which I understand is out of business 1984 model year. How can a title or co be issued and where can he go to get one. Thanks for your help.

You will have to get with your states title office..Most states have a procedure for this type of thing..and/or have an abandoned vehicle title proceedure..Be sure you get to a very knowledgeable title clerk..

If they have determined the home to be a total loss..they are obligated to get the title..to make sure no one attemps a rebuild and then sells the home...If not a total loss...they have NO business with the title..
