Doublewide on land value retention

Post by Pat Carter » Tue Mar 08, 2005 4:02 pm

Our home we just moved into was put up on land in '99. It's in a decent neighborhood and the home is in very good shape to date. Is there a point in years where it would be wise to sell in order to get good equity out? I read thru real estate sites and watch the pricings on mfd homes and wonder how hard it is to sell them once they reach let's say 10+ years old. Anyone have experience or thoughts in this area? Many thanks.

Cionsidering that it's in a good neighborhood and if you maintain your home properly (fixing, painting, etc.) and keep your landscaping in good shape your Doublewide should appreciate. Especially if it is on a permanent foundation. The time to sell is when your family has out-grown the home.
