We are seriously considering a MF home over building one ourselves. I have investigated Fleetwood and found you can get an earful without looking very hard. That was my suspician after looking at several models. We are also considering Skyline. Does anyone have an opinion one way or the other. We would really appreciate the imput. Also, has anyone ever built a home and later purchased a MF home? What is the opinion on that. Thanks

I've owned Skyline for 3 years and have had no major problems with the manufacturer. The setup crew messed up a few things. Skyline came out and handled the issues. They were very responsible for anything that came up during those 18 months. I have a few ceiling cracks and drywall cracks due to settling, but that is normal. No leaks, no structural problems, a very well built home.

Hello....

I just bought a new 12x56 Marlette MF Home. I could only put a 12 wide on my site in my mobile home park. I checked out many different manufactures and found out only few of them still made 12 wides. Marlette had no singlewide models to look at so while I was in Idaho last summer I found a few singlewides & doublewides that I could go through and some of them were Skyline and some were Marlette. I checked them out and found that I liked Marlette over Skyline and Champion. Marlette's manufactured factory is in Hermiston, Oregon and the people their are very nice and professional and they give tours to anyone. I had my MF delivered to Sac. County.

My suggestion would be to go through many different manufactured factories to see how they are built and check them out yourself. Be sure to check the back of your floor plans for everything they offer and ask many questions from your sales person and the factory personal. If you like Skyline, go see all the models and check the newspaper and see if anyone is selling one, if so go look at it. I hope this info helps you.

You will probably have to visit more than one dealer to see all the Skyline possabilities. To find the Skyline displays closest to you use the handy dealer search page on the Skyline web site at the address http://www.skylinehomes.com/dealers.php
