I own a 1971 Double Wide Mobile Home on five acres in Roseburg Oregon. This home has been 'COMPLETLEY" upgraded including a new Stem Wall Block Foundation, 6x6 Wall Studs R-21 Installation, Hardy Plank Siding etc. Nothing was overlooked in this remodel. But I'm having difficulty in finding a lender who will refinance this property. It is located in a VERY prime Roseburg location I'm looking to pay off the First TD and some credit cards.
Any suggestions?

"pre hud" financeing
Re: "pre hud" financeing
Pre code homs are not easy to finance or refinance. You might try submitting the form at ManufacturedHomeLender.com . They offer a free service and match manufactured housing lenders and borrowers. The contacts from that form are shared by a dozen lenders offices so participating lenders who offer programs and rates to meet your needs will contact you.
National lenders are not comfortable with pre-code homes because they have no way to know the quality of what they are financing. You might want to talk to the local banks and S&Ls as they know your market and will understnad the value of the locaiton.

Re: "pre hud" financeing
I financed my 1976 DW with no problems through a local bank's mortgage company so it can be done. I did/do have a very good relationship with the bank which I am sure helps. I know my CU will not finance MH, modular or log even if you are a strong buyer so you will need to shop around.
