In 1974,I started a career with the Whirlpool Corporation.
In 1979,I was thinking about my retirement, I took a correspondent motel management course.
In 1994, took and passed my GED test, in a program offered at Whirlpool.
In 1995, fell down a flight of stairs and broke my left foot completely off my leg. They were not sure if I would ever walk again. It took me about 2 and ½ years to learn to walk normal again. I had a great doctor, except for the scar you would never know.
In May of 2000 I decided I was ready to go back to work. It had been 21 years since I had taken the motel management course and so much had changed with modern technology and computers, I felt like I needed some hands on experience first. I applied for a front desk position at the Fairfield Inn. I had a great boss, Kim Miller. She taught me a lot about how to run a hotel.
In September of 2000, she made me the auditor.
In April 2002 I signed up for some computer and business courses at MTC.
In April 2003 I quit the hotel. There was an accounting issue with my boss and the company; I’m not sure what happened. I came to work one day and was told she was no longer with the company. I admired Mrs. Miller so much; I was so disappointed with her. The job just became very stressful after that. Since I quit working I’ve been doing people’s taxes, which is seasonal. I’ve given a lot of thought to becoming a manager. I decided that managing an apartment complex would be more fulfilling than managing a hotel. I have a good business mind, I love people and I love working. I am always thinking about ideas that would make things better, easier, fun and more convenient for my customers and efficient for my job. I’m the kind of person that when I start a project I stick with it until it is finished.
I would be willing to take more classes to further strengthen my business skills. I just recently read in the newspaper that 41% of the United States speaks Spanish. I have definitely decided to take a Spanish-speaking course. I see this as a great asset to the business world.
Sincerely,
Diana Ring

Scanned credit cards and was responsible for a 500.00-dollar drawer, posting cash and cash drops. Was the auditor on 3rd shift, checked all forms of payment with the rooms registration and the computer for accuracy, made out the room registration cards for the next day. Stocked and ran the Continental Breakfast, helped with the inventory, did simple maintenance, cleaned rooms, assigned rooms to the housekeepers. Designed a notebook to help new hires learn their job easier, this cut down on phone calls to my manager at all hours of the night. Created breakfast order inventory sheets and hotel supply inventory sheets; this made more accurate orders and saved time. I was responsible for a 57-room hotel on my shift.

Salary Recommendation
Due to the injury I had in 1995,which I mention in my cover letter, I now draw a Social Security disability check. The government’s policy is that I can earn up to 800.00 dollars gross a month without it affecting my checks. Having never been a Property Manager before, an apartment with utilities included plus 800.00 gross salaries a month would be a fair wage for an entry level On-Site Property Manager.
If this is not appropriate I would be willing to give up my disability check and return to earning a full working wage. I would consider 35,000.00 to 40,000.00 thousand annually.
On-Site Trailer Court Manager
Re: On-Site Trailer Court Manager
"On-Site Trailer Court Manager" You would do yourself a favor if you would not use the "T" word here...Most of us call our business manufactured homes...they often are in nice l;and lease communities...Most professional community owners would cringe at the term.." Trailer Court"...It id nice that you have educated yourself..Some of us taxpayers will cringe when you accept disability money when you even say here inpublic that you are not soooooo disabled..and that you are able to work...Call the Social Security Administration and tell them...You have listed far too much peronal info on this public web site...Just hope no one copies your post and sends it to the SSA...Good Luck...
