First step is to put together a resume, stressing those areas of experience and skills you bring to the table that would make you an effective management team. Next, look on the websites for some of the communities where you want to manage and contact them. Call the state association and ask if they have a listing of available positions. Attend some of the meetings of local chapters so you can get to know some people. If you live in a community now, ask the manager if there are vacancies with that company. Good luck!
