Merger

Post by Ronda Hughes » Sun Aug 03, 2003 6:01 am

The merger between Chateau Communities and Hometown America is really making the headlines. As a former employee of Chateau, I was very surprised to learn that they were selling the company. The merger between Chateau and Hometown America will make Hometown the largest company in the United States! How do you feel that this will effect Hometown's current policies regarding sales, employment etc since the two companies are vastly different? On a lighter note, Congratulations on your promotion!!!!!

I think it is a wonderful idea. The reason that I am replying to this message is that my husband and I were hired by Chateau Communities two years ago, to manage a community in Alburque "The Village Park". We had previously managed this community for HWL Properties before they sold out to Follett and Florence and then to Chateau.

We filled out paperwork, were given keys to the office ect and a very CRASH couse inthier bookeeping. The Manager's home was in a state of complete disaster. The home was trashed in other words. The carpets were stained with animal urine and the whole home had that smell. The Appliances were so dirty that they wer not useable. hy I know so much about this home is that my husband and I picked it out brand new.

To make a lng story short, they wouldn't do anything about it, they were ony interested in going on Christmas vacation. We ended up not taking the position and took another one in Tennesee.

We couldn't see working for a company that dosen't care about thier employees.

We are back in te New Mexico area, and when your merger is complete if you need experienced managers for any of the Albuquerque Communities please contact usand we will see that you get our resume' and letters of reccomendation. We would like a chance to work here again. Relocation is no problem, if there are positions elsewhere in the midwest. We have 14 years experience.

Good Luck on your new requisition.

Sincerely,
Bill & Judi Chenault
