Community Managers
Community Managers
Is a Community Manager for a 55+ community in Florida required to have any formal training or to have any type of certification?
Re: Community Managers
No, you are not at this time. Sorry for the delay in answering - I have had some technical difficulties with my computer. I'll be at the FMHA Chapter Meeting on 2/13 in St. Pete - will I see you there?
Re: Community Managers
I appreciate your time, I often have technical troubles too. So there are no required certifications or training to be a Community Manager. I doubt I can attend the FMHA meeting, I would like to but believe it or not the company I work for sees no value in attending industry functions regardless of the nature. Look forward to your response.
Re: Community Managers
That's right. In the state of Florida, there are no required certifications as of now. That does not hold true in all states, however.
Re: Community Managers
Hi Chrissy,
Where is that FMHA meeting in St. Pete being held on 2/13? Can Anyone Attend? What are the hours?
I am currently experiencing interference from a Park Manager in the sale of a MH. I have had 2 contracts for sale interferred with and am at my wits end. I feel that if I had Mother Teresa for a Buyer she would be denied. I am helping a friend but I cannot pay Lot Fees on an empty MH any longer (4 Months already)
Are you with MHC? (Manufactured Homes Communities),
as this is the Sam Zell Corporation that runs the Park. Can you recommend a Mobile home attorney that will represent Private Owners, as I feel frustrated and this is Wrong and I believe Violates FS 723.059
Thanks for any information, assistance, advice, or referrals,

Re: Community Managers
Hello, I am curious as to what type of interference Walter is experiencing in trying to sell his friend's home. I am also a park manager, and have been accused of the same. Our policy is in the lease, which alot of tenants try to ignore, which leads to unneccesary delays. I would be interested in talking to you about this, as I am eager to help and learn. The last sentence in "sale of resident's mobile home" section of our lease reads in caps "THE RESIDENT'S ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE SALE OF THE MOBILE HOME DOES NOT INCLUDE A TRANSFER OF THE RIGHT TO RENT THE SPACE". good luck! : )

Re: Community Managers
This guy is currently on two other message boards telling the same story. Although his feelings of frustration are recognized no one can give this guy any advice that he seems to want to take. Check with Home Owners Forum, it is really beginning to show that Walter just has personal issues with his park manager and not legally sound. Sorry Walter.
