Home Inspection

Post by Steve Faliski » Tue May 22, 2001 4:53 pm

We are conducting spring inspections (exterior only) of homes in the manufactured housing communities we own and manage.

Do you have a form we can follow when conducting the inspections?

Thanks for your help

Sure - there are several different forms you might find useful. Some are contained in the Operations Solution Package (a collection of useful forms and ideas for more efficient operations) and several more different ones are included in the brand new Community Management Forms book just released. Both can be ordered from my website at www.chrissy-jackson.com, or if you fax your order with either a MasterCard or Visa number and expiration date, we will ship from that. The Operations Solution Package is $12 for printed forms only and $20 for both printed forms and forms on disk. The Community Management Forms book has over 200 common community management forms and sells for $125 for printed forms plus forms on CD or $75 for the CD only.

One of the easier forms to use is the New, Improved Version of Ron's Form, which is available for free for a limited time only. If you would like to have one of those, please fax me at 813-982-2618 with your request and fax number, and we'll return it via fax. Thanks!

Thanks for the response. We previously obtained your Standard Operating Procedures book through George Allen -- is the new Community Management Forms book an update of that publication or something entirely new and different?

Thanks,

The new Community Managment Forms book is entirely new. It has over 200 forms useful in 16 different aras of property management. In the book, each form is printed in an original format, enclosed in a transparency sleeve, and listed on a spreadsheet according to category. One of the categories is marketing. So, if you were looking for a form for some aspect of your marketing program, you would look down that column and all of the forms that apply would have an "X" in that column. There is also a section that explains the uses of all forms, and another spreadsheet that lists the forms in alaphabetical order, making it easier to find a certain form if you know the name of it. The book also includes a CD with all forms and both spreadsheets. Or, the CD can be sold separately.

The Standard Operating Procedures Manual is being updated, however, and expanded into a different format. The new Professional Operating Procedures Manual includes first-time-ever position descriptions for some of the more common positions within communities. It will also be available on CD for easier transcription and use. It is a timely improvement on the original version, and will surely be a hit with community owners everywhere.
