Hi, Maureen. I just purchased a solitaire home (PRT3). They are definently one of the better built homes, if not the best. They offer very few options as far as customizing the home but their quality and price by far make up for this drawback. They are a family owned company that handles all the deleveries and installation, that way no middle man is involved and it cuts out the hassle of getting warranty work done on your home. In my opinion, they are the best bang for the buck.

Thanks Matt, so far everything I've read about the homes is good. I've ordered a book on manufactured homes from amazon (The Grissim Ratings Guide to Manufactured Homes: The Essential Buyer's Resource, Listing Every Builder in the U.S., ) to see what I should be looking for in a home. This would be our first purchase of a new manufacture home and we want to get the best for our money and something that will hold up for us.
