Cal. MH Questions
Cal. MH Questions
Hi there, I am pretty green when it comes to this realm. I am looking at getting a MH for land in Cal. I have been looking at floors plans and found one from a manufacturer out of Riverside but am not sure who puts it out. The floor plan was labeled Luxury Series and the vendor is Quality Manufactured Homes. I wanted to look into the details of the manufacturer but seem to have trouble tracking down more info. Can anyone enlighten me?? Thanks in advance!!!
Re: Cal. MH Questions
Call the dealer and ask for the manufactures phone number....Or go in and ask to see the owners manual...It will have the manufactures name and number...Call them..make an appointment for a plant tour..Go to Riverside and check them out....
Riverside is the location of the Corporate office of Fleetwood Homes...I would not be surprised to find they are the builder...I did not see this model on Quality's web site..

Re: Cal. MH Questions
The last reply was correct. Quality Manufactured Homes or Quality Wholesale Homes purchases from many different factory's and the one in Riverside would definetly be Fleetwood. Unfortunately they have only basic requirements and could build your home anywhere to save them money. Also the will not handle the setup and delivery, they will have you contract it out. Go and deal with a Dealer of a brand your happy with, you will get more hands on with the product and be able to identify the correct options you want.

Re: Cal. MH Questions
Neal,
Thanks for that info. We are looking for a MH builder that will work with us to design a 2 story or 1 1/2 story with deck MH. Can you recommend a manufacturer or designer to work with?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Neal,
Thanks for your "thoughts". Quality Wholesale Homes is currently contracted with Fleetwood. We can build out of all 6 Western US factories, I am curious as to your statement "Unfortunately they have only basic requirements and could build your home anywhere to save them money. Also the will not handle the setup and delivery, they will have you contract it out." What basic requirements are you speaking of???? Like you and everyone else in our industry we have the ability to provide a basic affordable home or a more amenity filled home for a higher dollar. We have high end and low end homes and cater to all types of buyers. I am happy to provide Setup and Delivery as well as many other services to our buyers some customers elect to work with their own contractors and contacts and that is certainly their option. We will educate them and work with them through the process. We build out of whatever factory location our customers want their home from. We do not require that our clients work with and/or pay the premiums that retail contractors would require. We currently do nearly 70 Percent of our business in the state of CA and I am happy to give any assistance to anyone with questions and I will strive to give "Accurate" information. Feel free to contact me at 800-242-0060 Ext 115.

Time???
I'm currently in the market for a MFH. I already have the land but it's undeveloped electrical box and telephone lines are in but need a pad and septic. I live in Oregon how long would it take if I were to purchase a MFH to get it from the factory to the site? It would be customized as far as materials go so whats average begenning to end time length in month's?
Re: Time???
Mark,
I am currently working with Frank and Charles Chappell out of your St. George, UT office trying to decide what house would be best and if this is the right situation for me. I do have to say that after talking with them and asking a few what I would think of as basic questions, i.e. names of contractors, whether or not certain homes would fit in a specific spot, I was a little nervous to continue with this company and though maybe a dealer would be better, someone who would handle everything like, Advantage Homes. I liked the prices that were offered but was a little disolutioned by what seemed like a lot of costs that aren't aparent upfront to a total novice like me. I've never done this before and was hoping to have a hassel free experience being that I don't have a lot of time to babysit a project like this. Am I being unrealistic or did I just get the wrong impression of how this whole situation plays out?
Your feedback would be appreciated,
Sarah

Re: Time???
Hi Sarah,
Thanks for your questions. First of all you need to decide how much or how small of a role you want to play in the process of completing your new home project. As you are discovering through the education process it is at times an overwhelming ordeal. While I know you have found our pricing pleasantly surprising, some folks need to have face to face counsel and someone to coordinate the entire project for them. We are happy to give you all the information you will need to complete your project from start to finish but you will play an important role in coordinating a large portion of your project, ie contractors, permitting etc. We are happy to put you in touch with the right people that can handle these items. If you are not interested in being this involved in your own project I would recommend that you find a reputable retailer in your area that you trust to handle all the aspects of your new home and work with them. Keep in mind that while we offer a huge cost value and substantial discounts your peace of mind, the satisfaction of a pleasant experience, and the enjoyment of a new home is as they say.....priceless.
Best of luck,
