Top Quality Homes - help..
Re: Top Quality Homes - help..
Craig.. you really have to figure that one out for yourself. Tour the factory, check out the materials and construction. What one person likes, may not be what you like.
Re: Top Quality Homes - help..
we chose deer valley. Can't sing their praises enough. Trust me, we reseached long and hard before investing our 100K. Good luck. If you choose Deer Valley, tell Mr. Chet Murphree and Scott Strickland that Glynda Gaddis said Hi. Spend time getting to know the people who you will be working with during this process. Your dealer, people and decision makers at the manufacturer, county and federal inspectors and the folks that are working your loan. The more they know you and understand that they work "for" you the better off you will be in getting your needs met.
Good luck and again, Deer Valley was our choice www.deervalleyhb.com

All make their homes to Federal standards. Fleetwood, Silvercrest, Palm Harbor are good quality. The options make the difference in quality.
Re: Top Quality Homes - help..
Would`nt know about Palm Harbor. The dealers wont return emails or phone calls, so we wont consider them.
I have noticed good quality in several but also some problems in all we have looked at, Fleetwood, Skyline, an others. Will make it hard to order a home. I think I`m going to have to inspect any home we buy pretty hard.

Re: Top Quality Homes - help..
Palm Harbor Homes are simply the best. Their standards are higher than any other manufacturer. If one person does not answer your question, there are others who are more than willing to assist in anyway.
We know that Palm Harbor uses 30% more materials and uses house materials not the typical "trailer" part other manufacturers use.

Re: Top Quality Homes - help..
I purchased a DeerValley. For the money it was a great buy. It has sheetrock and crownmoling throughout the entire home. The layout of the rooms is increadible. The three bedrooms have more room than most homes priced at $180,000. I would suggest that you but from a reputable dealer. Check out the dealer before buying. I had a bad experience with the dealer who sold me my DeerValley. He was responsible for the foundation which is already cracking after 4 months. When the foundation was being installed I brought the shody workmanship to his attention but he wouldn't do anything. This dealer is in Alabama. If you don't feel comfortable with your dealer I would find another one.
