Quality Wholesale Homes
Re: Quality Wholesale Homes
Quality Wholesale Homes, like any successful business has the pleasure of dealing with thousands of customers across the Western United States. While we are able to please the vast majority of our customers, and we desire to please 100 percent of them, it is an impossible feat. As many of the visitors to this site are well aware the process of owning a new Manufactured home can at times be a complicated, frustrating, daunting task. While many retailers handle issues such as Site prep, Delivery, Setup, and Permitting just to name a few, Quality Wholesale homes has a unique program wherein we allow our customers to coordinate many aspects of their project on their own. As one of the largest Sales centers in the United States we are at our best offering Quality Manufactured Homes at prices well below the standard retailers price. While we accomodate customers with some of the issues above, most customers desire to coordinate the majority of these items on their own. This saves them time, headaches, hassles and above all money. We do not claim to be perfect but we absolutely commit 110 percent to resolve any problems that our customers might encounter. We do not claim to be a manufacturer, for we are not. Our contracts our currently with Fleetwood homes, one of the largest builders of Manufactured Homes in the industry. We offer a new, exciting, cost effective way for potential customers to purchase these homes. We will on occasion let people know that the Quality Wholesale homes concept is not for them. Some of these people choose to take advantage of our prices and customer service, but half way through their project find out they are in over their heads. We educate clients prior to committing to our company and explain what is their responsibility and what will be ours. We will assist as much as possible to help them finalize their project and overcome any issues they might encounter. Currently our company has on Staff approximately 70 employees who are committed to maintaining the highest level of customer care possible. If anyone should have any questions or concerns I am happy to be of personal assistance.

Re: Quality Wholesale Homes
Now it is clear why your prices will sound lower..you do not do most of the functions required for a happy homeowner experience......Explain how an inexperienced home owner can get better and lower cost set up...land prep...steps..land improvements...than an experienced professional dealer (general contractor) can arrange for...
You should have NO dealer problems since you refuse to do the things dealers do that cause most of the problems...Of course you have NO dealer warranty to deal with since Fleetwood handles it all..you are not involved in customer problems they cause..which will be many....
The thread got off on the manufacturer line of discussion when more than one of your prospects posted here that your sales reps had told them they were the factory and had plants all over the country...Those of us here who help future buyers with proper information wanted to set the record straight...We knew this was mostly a marketing process...I basically hoped it would open up their eyes to the possible pitfalls they were about to get in...
To me it looks like you want only trouble free..dealership by avoiding all the possible pitfalls of the sale...I see your business model as something close to a motor cycle shop who would sell a bike to a young kid with no lessons and no drivers licence...If that kid gets into trouble,,its not the dealers fault...Do you spend any time training your customers on the proper land prep and set up procedures..Of course you give them the set up manual and hope they read it..Of course if the home is not set correctly Fleetwood can and will deny warranty claims...no wonder Fleetwood allows you to sell this way..

RMurray,
Thanks for taking the time to voice your opinion on our company. I would like to try and clear up a few issues that you address. First of all our prices do not just sound lower, they ARE lower. When comparing apples to apples minus all other associated costs we offer a value that beats most retailers within our area. It is vital that we compare similar homes because we do not sell "Lot models" or any thing other than "Current year" models.
The issue of price is addressed on our website in more ways than one. Our pricing structure is fully disclosed to our customers and we have a pricing guarantee. An inexperienced or first time home buyer is able to get better pricing because of three things. Our staff takes the time to explain the process involved in completing a manufactured home project. We offer customers resources on available contractors in their area so that they have the opportunity to discuss, direct with the contractor what is and is not included in their particular bids. They are not subject to the mark up that most retailers place on the onsite portion of a project. The customer makes the ultimate decision on who they will work with and what will be included.
Our staff works day in and day out with our customers for weeks on end to insure that they are making intelligent, educated decisions. We have been in business for over two decades. I can assure you that we have not done this by simply taking home orders and offering NO assistance to our customers as to the rest of the process.
We do a Large volume of business. Contractors, Setup crews and Transport company are more likely to make sure that our clients are taken care of because it is in their best interest to have their name put in front of our customers. Should a bad apple arise (based on input from satisfied or dissatisfied customers) we eliminate them from our contractor database.
When a customers contacts us we cover costs of delivery and setup and offer one of two things. They are welcome to lock in our Set/Delivery quotes or they are welcome to search for better pricing from other independant contractors. If they cannot find a better price we are happy to coordinate it for them or if they do we are pleased that they can save money and are happy to coordinate with the companies they have chosen. We educate them as to numerous items to look out for and are happy to review any quotes they recieved on their own to ensure there are no unpleasant surprises.
Our customer service department is happy to take care of any issues that might arise with our customers and we have on numerous occassions dispatched agents to take care of specific onsite issues for them. We do not rely solely on the factory for warranty issues. We act as a liason on behalf of our clients to see to it that they are receiveng the same care and fairness we would want ourselves. As I mentioned in my last response we absolutely educate our customers on the process entailed in purchasing a manufactured home and what we can and cant assist with. They then make a decision on wether or not they will do business with us. At times when it is believed that our concept is not for them we will let customers know that they would be better taken care of by dealing with a local retailer. You would know yourself, as it is obvious you are a scholar in the industry, that we are dealing with a much higher degree of educated customers in todays day and age than in the past. Our industries "Old School" affiliates serve a vital role in our market place, as do we. We cater to different types of buyers.
I am happy to answer any and all questions anyone has. It is a pity that our happy clients are not the ones posting and all that seems to appear is negative feedback. Such I suppose is the story of life. Happy ones are content and enjoying life while the gisgruntled ones are wanting to prove a point. I would ask "RMurray" if you would please call me at 800-242-0060 and allow me the opportunity to at least lay out the logic in our methods so that you might have a better educated view as to what we do, our mission statement and the philosophies of Quality Wholesale Homes.

Re: Quality Wholesale Homes
Thank you for the detailed reply..This trheasd on your dealership did start with 2 differnet 1st time buyers asking about the manufacturer "Qaulity Wholesale Homes"..both made it clear they had been told by what I assume is a former sales consultant that you were the factory...All I did was refer them to your web site where it is clear you are a dealer..Most dealers do add a small margin to land prep..simply because we all know if we arrange a well and the well does not serve the purpose...who they going to call..Truthfully I would do the same..
I am glad your model is working for you and your customers...Keep up the good work..

You are quite welcome. I am happy to take the time to help in any way I can. Our company loves this industry and the people involved in it. We are happy to help customers of ours as well as customers of yours to help on the road to a Happy Home-owner. Our industry has come a long way in the past and has a long way to go and we look forward to being a part of affordable housing for decades to come. As for the implications from the first two postings that sales reps from our company said we were a manufacturer I am sure that Rmurray hit the nail on the head as to them being FORMER employees. Thanks again and happy selling.

Re: Quality Wholesale Homes
Mark Gibson, I can tell that you are indeed right on top of your game, since I still have no reply to the email that I wrote you last week. It does not seem to me that you are interested in doing anything for anybody once you have your money. Plain and simple, QWH, does not care about the customer once money has exchanged hands....Mike Kent.
Re: Quality Wholesale Homes
I'm currently working in developing a business in southern California selling manufactured homes. In doing my research. I came across a warning posted by the @ www.hcd.ca.gov web site(California Department of Housing and Community Development) This is a Consumer Alert. Warning Manufactured Home Buyers----To Beware Of Internet Sales and Out-of-State Sellers.......................................................................................................................................................... Mark Gibson. Would you please comment on this??? I'm in California. You are in Utah. This certainly applies. I've taken a look at your homes @ Stonegate Subdivision. I like the idea but, I need to clarify the issues raised on the HCD web site. Does your Company have a CA. dealers license????

I don't think that Mr Gibson is a regular follower of our forums....but...There has been quiet a few post about this company here... to see them all Click Here
If your going to sell homes you would do much better getting a state dealers license and dealing with a factory. From what I understand form the post here QWH is a multi-state dealer that has access to several factories but is not a builder. With a dealers license you can get the same kind of access to products they have.

Re: Quality Wholesale Homes
The homes you saw are built by Fleetwood Homes in Riverside CA..This fellow is a dealer just like you..The other post is correct..if you sell homes in CA you MUST obtain a dealers license from the state...This is all you need to buy direct from the builder/manufacturer...
I thought I would post a link to the WARNING you mentioned for future readers of these forums..
