55+ with on site golf

Hi We just returned from Florida and found a very nice community in Lady Lake called Water Oaks Country Club. This is the only community out of about 10 that we visited from Lakeland up to Ocala that we would consider moving into. Can anyone suggest a golfing community in Central Florida?

You found a winner in Water Oaks. You can also chack out Rolling Greens, about 15 miles north of Water Oaks, in Ocala.

Hi Guys----The wife was not impressed with the Ocala area so Rolling greens would not be an option at this time. We did visit the Villages and the Historic area is quite nice but we would prefer to go Land Lease instead or Land Purchase. I just found Four Lakes Golf Club in Winter Haven-----Any thoughts on this community?

Did you check out Continental Country Club? South of The Villages. Beautiful -- on site golf.

Yes, we did visit Continental but were not impressed and also prefer Land Lease over Land Purchase.

You haven't lived until you come to Schalamar Creek Golf and Country Club at 4500 Memorial Hwy East( Hwy 92), Lakeland, Fl 33801

You may want to look at Cypress Greens in Lake Alfred. We are a small golfing community. We still have open sites as well as resales.

Schalamar Creek is simply the best in the area. The golf course is where the Ladies Futures are played and everyone is so nice there. If you don't check this area you haven't seen communities at their best!

Hi------Schalamar Creek was my first choice. The entrance drive is quite nice. Unfortunately the boss (wife), was not impressed with the Lakeland area for some reason or other. It's going to be a hard sell moving her off of the Water Oaks Country Club community in Lady Lake. Thanks for the input and keep um coming.
