thinking of buying a house soon

Post by chris » Sun Sep 18, 2005 12:17 pm

I Have been Looking at Different dealers For about two months now And finally got it narrowed down to three plans i like. I recently went to one of the deal;ers to get a price and the home i wanted isnt avaible with full dry wall and the 5/12 roof so he was showing me similar house in same price rang and mentioned about how he doesnt order anyhome with novadeck flooring. Well that made me wonder why and started to resaearch and found this great website. Now my problem is my favorite house says it uses novadeck and its sunday so i cant call to see if there is a flooring upgrade so does anyone know if redman homes offers that. Also what other structural things should i beaware of or need to upgrade such as roofing siding or what. Does it usually cost alot to upgrade that. thanks for anyhelp anyone can offer.

Your up grades are going to be for two reasons personal and zoning or zip code for private property.
What sate are you in? upgrades should be sold at dealers cost out of the redman book. You can check on Redmans web site on upgrades.

How do you know what the dealer cost is for Walmart's TV's they sell????What would it matter if you knew....There is no such site...best approach to getting the best deal is to visit the bookstore here....shop..shop..shop..be sure you are shopping exactly the same home..including all factory upgrades...

The dealers cost is between the factory and the dealer the base price across the
board is all in the same range from dealer to dealer high end and low
like a car BMW compared to Kia. All buliders offer differnt things.
SilverCrest offers top of the line materials and Higher walls
Karston offers stell floors --Cavco offers stucco etc.. the dealer you are working w/ might not be able to order from the Factory you like, changes are if he doesnt carrie that builder as a floor model , He can not order you a home.
a stronger home? 2x6 2x8 ,snow load roof ,dormer ,they all have a building code and over sed State and city building codes
