slabs vs. basement?

Post by Gina Effrain » Tue May 27, 2003 11:55 pm

I need help. We are looking at a modular home. I am wondering how much a slab will cost for a home that is 80 x 30? Basement?
Any help will be appreciated?
I am in Indiana. If anyone knows someone that does this for a good price, let me know. Thanks

We're near Terre Haute and had a basement put in last August. It's 28x64 and cost us $18,000. I don't think it would be of any benefit to you to give you the name of the company that installed it. They're a fairly small local company and I doubt they'd be willing to travel to the northern part of the state.
We did a little shopping around, and that price seemed to be the going rate around here.
28x64 is quite a bit smaller than what you have planned. Even with some walls dividing off storage and bathroom areas, ours seems huge, yours will be vast. Good Luck
(The $18,000 didn't include plumbing for a bathroom and bar area, we had to pay a plumber to come in and do that)

Does anyone know what it would cost for a full unfinished basement for a Triple-wide manafactured home in Western Washington? 40X66
Also do I have the contractor plum for future bathrooms?
